The countdown begins

Four more days until the new diet and cycling routine begins. The past couple weeks it seems I’ve been eating more than usual (particularly more junk food than usual). I keep telling myself that I’m not going to starve to death when I start the new routine. Although I expect I’ll be rather grouchy the first week or two.

Before I quit smoking about 7 years ago, I smoked like a freight train leading up to my quit date. Then about 5 years ago when I quit drinking, I drank more than usual in the weeks leading to my quit date. I suppose that’s just the way my mind works.

If I can mange to quit smoking and drinking, then eating healthier and working out should be very simple, right? Yep. That’s what I’m thinking. People do it everyday.

So there are four more days before my start date on the 4th. On that note – I’m going meet a friend for lunch. Mmmm. FOOD!
