Day 38: Rest day

I took the day off from work today and accomplished absolutely nothing. Unless you consider sitting on my butt, reading, watching movies and napping an accomplishment. I definitely accomplished that. I considered getting on the stationary trainer and doing a nice long workout this afternoon, but that required energy I just didn’t have.

I’m having motivation problems lately when it comes to exercise. I’m not a fan of winter. The gray, dreary, cold days really bring me down after a while. I need sunshine and warm temperatures. But at least spring is coming soon. I need to get my lazy butt in gear and get in shape before the spring cycling season starts. Otherwise I’m going to be nowhere near prepared for doing a century before the year is over.

I’m still doing better on my eating, despite the fact I’m not losing weight. So I’ve lowered my daily calorie allowance and I’m now trying to adhere to that. It might take me a day or two to get used to it, but I’m hopeful it will help the scale start moving.

What do you do when you’re uninspired? What tips or tricks to you use to move you back into action?

Breakfast:
— Organic whole wheat english muffin with Nutella = 294 cal.

Lunch:
— Amy’s organic mac & cheese = 410
— Organic fat free chocolate milk = 180

Dinner:
— Chicken breast sandwich on wheat bun = 262
— Iced Tea = 0

Snacks:
— Fat free chocolate pudding cup = 60
