Quarro Super6 Cap-Light

Payday and sporting goods stores are often a dangerous combination for me. Today I was shopping for shoes and bike shorts (which I ended up not buying), but I did find an inexpensive clip-on light to use on bike rides. Damn those impulse-buy sections of stores!

The Quarrow Super6 Cap-Light has 6 LEDs with 4 different modes: 2 solid lights, 6 solid lights, 6 flashing or 6 flashing in S.O.S. sequence. (I wonder if the S.O.S. mode will help alert someone to push me up a hill?) The light is attached to a clip that can be clipped to a backpack or jersey, or can also be mounted to a metal part of a bike using the magnet built into the back of the clip. The light swivels 360 degrees and has 90 degree vertical flexibility. Two small watch batteries are included in the packaging, which states the batteries will last up to 48 hours of continuous use (on the 6-LED setting) or 120 continuous hours on the 2-LED setting. This won’t be my primary light, since I have a more powerful headlight I use, but as a secondary one, this seems like a pretty cool light and best of all it was only $13.
