Louisville chef Ian Ritchie has recently started his own business of delivering soup by bicycle, or Soup ByCycle as the name says. Get on his mailing list and each week he’ll email you a list of the three featured soups for the following week, all homemade with fresh local ingredients. Chef Ian is certified in food safety and properly cools the soups after they’re cooked and before each container is packaged for delivery.
A bowl of soup and bread costs $6 for meaty offerings and $5 for vegetarian or vegan, plus a $1 delivery fee per bowl. If you order three or more bowls, the delivery fee is waived. I plan to place an order soon and will post a review and hopefully and interview with him. The Soup ByCycle website is in progress and is apparently ready to go live soon. Until then, you can find out more on his Facebook page or by signing up for his mailing list.
To place an order, email Chef Ian by Friday each week for delivery the following week. Mondays, he delivers to St. Matthews and eastern Louisville. Tuesdays he travels to Germantown, Crescent Hill and the Highlands. Wednesdays, he crosses the I-65 area for deliveries.
Stay tuned for a future post with more information.
Today’s starting weight: I’ve been discouraged and frustrated lately with not losing weight, so I’m only going to weigh once a week for a while, rather than daily. Honestly, I don’t need the daily reminder that I suck at dieting.
