Day 135: Wisdom

18 05 2010

I saw this on Fat Cyclist’s blog a few weeks ago and it cracked me up:

“Cycling is popular with middle-aged people because it gives you the illusion of being in great shape, even though your body is completely falling apart.”

My first thought was, “That’s so true!” My second thought was, “Wait, am I middle-aged?! Is 40 middle-age? Nah, it can’t be! Can it?”

In other news, I’m planning to ride in the Ride of Silence tomorrow night. Are you? For those of you in the Louisville area, join us downtown at the Waterfront at 6:45. I hope to have photos and/or video to share after the event.

Since I’ve had problems with WordPress not playing nicely with Javascript or tables, I’ve reworked the Photos page to include a slideshow. If you have any problems viewing the page, please let me know. I’ll be adding slideshows to that page regularly, so check back for updates.

Today’s food journal:

— Chocolate, peanut butter, banana smoothie = 385 cal.
