I love receiving packages in the mail! It’s always nice to find something fun in the mailbox for a change. Something other than bills and junk mail. Today, I came home from work to find our Road ID package waiting for us. Carrick and I placed our order last Tuesday, it shipped Thursday and arrived today. Here’s what’s in the package:
— The Road ID bracelets (blue is mine, black is Carrick’s. And yes, I blurred out our contact info on the photo. The actual engraving does look very nice on the bracelets.)
— Coupons to give to friends
— A “get started” guide to setting up our Emergency Response Profile (ERP)
— A Team Road ID brochure showing other Road ID products available for purchase
Overall, I’ve been very pleased with the whole experience so far. Prior to placing our order, I had a question so I contacted customer service. They were very friendly, helpful and followed up with an email to make sure they answered all my questions. The online ordering and engraving process was very simple. Now all that remains is to set up our ERPs on their secure website. I guess a Road ID is kind of like having car or homeowner’s insurance — it’s one of those things you hope to never need, but it’s good to have just in case.
I’m off to watch today’s stage in the Tour. I heard it was a good one! Have I mentioned how difficult it is to make it through an entire day avoiding Facebook and Twitter so I don’t see any spoilers before I get a chance to watch what the DVR recorded? Oh yeah … I did mention that.
