Day 202: Last stage of the Tour

24 07 2010

We finally made it to Virginia Beach! Yesterday’s weather forecast for high temperatures lived up to the expectation. We saw 110 degrees at one point late this afternoon. Good god. We skipped the bike riding today. I didn’t really feel the need to end up having heat stroke on the first day of vacation. But the heat didn’t stop us from having fun in Williamsburg.

My cell service is ok, but spotty so this will be a short post. Just a few photos from Williamsburg today:

Williamsburg, VA

I’m two stages behind on the Tour (and Twitter, Facebook, etc.), so I’m going watch today’s stage on my iPhone app, assuming I can keep a connection long enough. I hope Andy Schleck kicked Contador’s butt!

A good call not to go riding in 110F. We’re only in the mid-70s here in England today and that’s about warm enough. Take care.
