Day 222: A motorist gets revenge

13 08 2010

These people are just crazy (and fascinating)! I’ve seen these speed bikes before and wondered how they worked. Now I know.

And who exactly thought this was a good idea?!

Today’s food journal:

— Strawberry, banana smoothie = 3.5 points

— Grilled cheese on wheat = 7.5 points
— Diet Coke = 0 points

— Soft pretzel = 3 points (according to the WW app, but this seems oddly low to me)
— Iced tea = 0 points

— 1 banana = 1 point
— Cool whip with chocolate sauce = 4 points

Life’s a journey. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks for visiting.

Alice Zorn

Well, here I am reading your blog because your name is Alice and you cycled down Zorn avenue, and my name is Alice Zorn and I had a book of short fiction published last year–so I get a notice whenever my name appears on the Net. So… Alice the photographer on Zorn avenue. I love these coincidences. I, too, cycle, though only a mere 12 kilometers/day (7 1/2 miles?) by the St. Lawrence River in Montreal (Canada). That’s my exercise. It’s a lovely route with a bike path looping down to and along the river.
I look forward to reading your blog and will pass it along to my husband who occasionally does weekend cycling trips with a friend.
Best of luck to you!

Hi Alice, Nice to meet you! Thanks for visiting and commenting. It sounds like you have a beautiful place to ride. That’s one of the things I enjoy so much about cycling, is getting to see the nice sights along the way. Is this you on Goodreads? I use Goodreads quite often. If I have the right Alice Zorn, your book “Ruins and Relics” sounds interesting. I’ll put that on the top of my list of books to read. Enjoy your week and please keep in touch. Take care, Alice.
