Day 295: Local cycling advocate’s ticket dismissed

25 10 2010

Justice prevails! David Morse, a local cyclist and bike advocate, recently received a traffic ticket for not using a bike lane. (More details are available in this previous post). Yesterday, David said a deputy showed up at his house this weekend to let him know the ticket had been dismissed. As David tells it:

“I think he had found the Far-to-Right-as-Practicable law, but he had not successfully located the Mandatory-bike-lane-if-feasible law, and concluded it didn’t exist.”

Cyclists = 1
The Man = 0

Congratulations, David!

Life’s a journey. Enjoy the ride!
